What We Can Do For You…
The program is designed to help our seniors stay safe, improve their quality of life, maintain their independence, promote living at home or within the community, and enhance community participation through volunteerism.
Senior Services was created in April of 2010, in partnership with Nova Scotia Department of Health and the five Shelburne County municipal units.
Volunteers Needed!
Volunteers are very important to us in Senior Services! Whether helping in a recreation program such as assisting seniors to attend a concert or a play, or visiting with residents and clients, our volunteers bring sunshine, and laughter to someones day!
Income-Tax Program
The Income Tax Preparation Program is offered free to low-income residents of Shelburne County.
Our volunteers received training through The Canada Revenue Agency Community Volunteer Income Tax Program Partnership and Co-operation.

Safety issues that will be discussed with seniors in the privacy of their homes will include security, offer options for health care.
